Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice, also called ‘yogic sleep’.
Relieving stress and tension, healing insomnia, improving performance and tuning in to your inner wisdom are only some of the benefits of regular yoga nidra. It is practiced lying down, eyes closed, as your instructor guides you through a systematic release of the ‘fight or flight’ mind and helps you access a state of ‘rest and digest’.
The active mind focuses so much on thinking and doing. With yoga nidra, you get a chance to sink into being and feeling. There you can integrate your busy life, harness the power of the subconscious mind and align your intentions with how you actually show up in life and on the mat.
Kerry will lead you to explore the state between wakefulness and sleeping and the conscience and the sub conscience by allowing the body to be completely relaxed and turn the awareness inward by listening to a set of instructions; much like a guided meditation.
You will need a yoga mat, pillow, eye cover and a blanket to form a nest where we will remain in for 45 min.
